Embroidered Meditation Scrolls
In this class, we’ll explore the meditative practice of slow stitching to learn simple ways to establish moments of quiet in our lives. We’ll learn different basic embroidery stitches and discuss the power of repetition of these marks. These scrolls will not be completed in class but instead will provide the foundation for a self-care practice that can be incorporated into your daily life. However, once complete they become stunning pieces that can be displayed or referred to as a reminder to slow down and take care of ourselves.

Mandalas are a powerful artistic form used in meditation and healing practices. Using a process of hand-stitching with thread and fabric, we are going to learn ways to use this process not only to slow down, but also to deeply connect with our work. Creating What's In Our Hearts - A Community Art Experience to show solidarity with Annunciation community
This shared act of creative expression and reflection is an invitation to connect with oneself and others in the community. Each participant was given two simple wooden hearts as canvases—a symbol of love, vulnerability, strength and the unique inner worlds we all carry. One to keep to remind us of our connection to this community and one to give as a collective gift to the school as a show of support and community love.

Join us Sunday evening at Heart Space Studio for a deeply soothing and healing Sound Bath led by Liane Olson of LMNO Yoga to honor South Minneapolis and all the lives lost and affected in the senseless acts of violence. This is a space to heal in community.

Sunday Studio is from 1pm-4pm at Heart Space. Join anytime and stay for one hour or all three. Heart Space will feature one medium or art activity (different every time) and you will get the time to explore it. Our hope is that time in the studio on a Sunday kickstarts a week of connection, creativity and good vibes.
Prompts will be available. Creative flows encouraged!
All ages welcome. All levels welcome.
$30 per person - If you choose to pay, all proceeds go towards more free open studio events for the community.

Mats will be available, but we encourage you to bring anything that helps you feel cozy and supported: a mat, blanket, pillow, or bolster.
