Burnout: How Creativity Can Spark Change
This two hour workshop will discuss the concept of burnout by defining it as well as discussing the signs and signals. In addition, this workshop will discuss how and why leaning into your creativity can spark lasting change in order to improve overall health and wellness. There will be an opportunity at the beginning to experience a creative grounding technique and then the last hour will be reserved for a guided experiential collage exercise. All supplies will be provided.
You will walk away from this workshop with increased knowledge about stress at it pertains to burnout, understanding on how to use your creativity to spark lasting change as well as a new found appreciation for the impact of creative arts on mental and physical health.
Event Schedule:
5:30: Doors Open, Grab a drink/snack and a spot!
5:45-6:00: Intro and creative grounding technique
6:00-6:30: Learn about burnout (signs and signals) as well as why engaging with creativity can create change.
6:30-7:30: Collage experiential with reflective writing + Closing Discussion

With over 10 years of experience working with a range of individuals in a variety of settings, Maddie has been in private practice for 4 years offering individual, couples and family therapy services. Outside of therapy services, Maddie has been focused on offering opportunities for individuals to access their creativity. Opening Heart Space has been a dream come true. An art studio meant for anyone at any skill level even those who do not identify as creative. With a focus on process art making, she is on a mission to bring back play and fun when it comes to art making in an effort to show how creative arts can support overall health and wellness.
